About Philippine Cultural College

Philippine Cultural College (PCC) is the oldest Chinese-Filipino secondary school in the Philippines, founded on June 27, 1923 as the Philippine Chinese High School. Today, PCC stands as a non-stock, non-profit, non-sectarian, co-educational institution offering Pre-School, Basic Education, and College programs.

PCC is committed to developing globally competitive graduates through a trilingual curriculum (English, Filipino, Mandarin) and strong foundations in Mathematics, Science, and Information Technology.

Our History & Legacy

Established 1923

From its humble beginnings with 47 students, PCC has grown into one of the most respected educational institutions serving the Chinese-Filipino community.

1923
Foundation

Founded as Philippine Chinese High School; first classes held at the old Anglo Chinese School.

1940
New School Building

The first major building along Jose Abad Santos Street was constructed.

1942–1945
Japanese Occupation

School operations were halted; PCC later became the first school in Manila to reopen after World War II.

1949
Fire & Rebuilding

A fire destroyed the school, but reconstruction was completed the same year with community support.

1967
Caloocan Campus

The Annex Campus in Grace Park, Caloocan City opened to serve more students.

1976
Name Change

The school was renamed Philippine Cultural High School following national policy changes.

2008
PCC Becomes a College

The College Department opened, and the institution officially became Philippine Cultural College (PCC).
